Who I AM
Having had over twenty five years experience as a librarian, teacher, housemistress and tutor in a number of UK schools I have garnered a myriad of tips and advice to help students succeed.
My librarianship experience ranges from designing and running school libraries both in physical buildings and digitally online to daily life in a library. I am a qualified specialist children’s librarian and have taught study skills, research skills and reading skills over the last thirty years.
I was a housemistress and Head of boarding for seventeen years running both girls’ and boys’ boarding houses in this time.
I have taught Classics from yr 5 to yr 9 and learnt how to incorporate skills for SEN and EAL students which helped them in their wider school work.
I have worked as an assistant exams officer, tutor and sixth form administrator and have learnt ways to help older students with exam and university prep.
